Who may register for the IEC’s Maximum Leadership and High Performance Workforce Development Programs?
The Maximum Leadership Program is open to all future and current leaders (informal, front-line, and above) in Sarnia-Lambton.
Similarly, the High Performance Workforce Development Program is open to the general workforce in our community (employed or
seeking employment).

Which courses should leaders and supervisors take?
The IEC’s Maximum Leadership Program is designed for informal, team leaders, current and future leaders. We also offer a course
specifically for managers and supervisors of first-line leaders. Courses in the Maximum Leadership Program are:
- Essentials of Leadership (formerly Interaction Management Essentials
) - foundation or pre-requisite course for all others
- Coaching series:
- Coaching for Success
- Coaching for Improvement
- Managing Performance Problems
- Resolving Conflict
- Leading Change
- Supporting Leadership Development (a special course designed for 2nd line leaders and managers of the leaders and
supervisors enrolled in the Maximum Leadership Program)
Which courses are for the general workforce?
While the Guide is primarily focused on first and second-line leadership development, we believe people are leaders at all
levels, so we have included complementary workforce development programs.
The IEC’s High Performance Workforce Program is intended for the general workforce. We currently have two offerings:
- Interaction Skills for Success (foundation or pre-requisite course for all others in the High Performance Workforce Program)
- Working Through Conflict
