Alarming Injury Trend: In the last nine quarters going back to 2009Q1, local contractor injuries have increased by a factor of three. This is being addressed by IEC staff who will be conducting interviews and surveys of our local Supervisors, Contractor managers and workers in the field. The survey will evaluate the degree to which local best practices are being implemented. These Best Practices include: Observation Based Safety, Pre-job Safety Analysis, Near MIss Reporting and Root Cause Analysis.
