A records management system is being put into place that will complement the work of the Safety Training Standards Committee by allowing contractors to track and control training documentation. This new system will:

a.      Contribute to standardization process

b.      Reduce duplication of training

c.      Enhance contractor prequalification service

d.      Allow Contractors to better manage their own training

e.      Allow future swipe/ smart card capabilities

f.        Permit on-line registration

g.      Support locally developed Computer Based Training courses
